Kansas Referee Instruction & Training
Training Mission: The program for instruction & training of referees is important in Kansas. There are several program goals to help meet this vision & mission:
In order to attain these program goals, the training course offerings have been revised. Each level of training incorporates Self Study & On-Line interaction as part of the process. Classroom training will reinforce and focus on important concepts, and emphasize Critical thinking and Logic in applying the LOTG. Testing will gradually incorporate facets from these aspects.
Courses: The course listing represents a sequential advancement from basic to advanced training, and coincides with the referees developmental progress and experience. Courses are offered to meet community needs, and in most cases before a season starts. Most leagues have spring & fall seasons. All referees must have a current registration (badge) in order to be assigned games. Registrations / badges expire on December 31 of each year.
